During our recent Boston trip, Sonia and I found the Cookie Monstah food truck while walking back to our hotel from the aquarium. Having just eaten lunch, the truck was the perfect opportunity to grab some dessert. The truck serves both cookies and ice cream and will even combine both to make an ice cream sandwich. With the temperatures on the cooler side, we opted for the cookies only.
With so many choices, we each picked 3 cookies:
- Chocolate Chunk
- Snickerdoodle (we both opted for this one)
- Double Chocolate
- Salted Caramel
- Reese’s Double Chocolate Peanut Butter
As a surprise, we were also given an M&M Sugar cookie for free.
It was clear the cookies were fresh, and each was a good size. They were so filling that it took us a few days to finish them. The taste was exactly what I expected for each as well. As for the texture, they had the crunchy exterior and soft interior that makes for the perfect cookie. When I think about the current go to spots for cookies, I feel Cookie Monstah puts them all to shame by simply serving a damn good cookie.
The one thing that impressed me the most about Cookie Monstah was the variety of cookies and ice creams. Since we were in Boston for a couple of more days, I had planned to go back and try some of their other cookies and their ice cream. Unfortunately, we didn’t see the truck again. Luckily, flights to Boston are pretty affordable, so this will definitely be on our list for our next trip.
